The 5th annual 91.7 KAXE
Mississippi River Festival is Saturday, July 18th under
the Rotary Tent at KAXE's Amphitheater in Grand Rapids and
this year we’re featuring Minnesota Musicians!!!
Music starts at 1 with Hans Blix
and the Weapon Inspectors, an acoustic string-band out of
the Brainerd area playing bluegrass, old-time and Irish
Fiddle tunes. Then it’s the Hobo Nephews of
Uncle Frank, an acoustic roots blues & folk band out
of Holyoke. At 5 it’s CLAWTHROAT, a high-energy 3 piece
folk-rock band fronted by Joseph Downing from Grand
Rapids. Then we wrap things up with Sick of Sarah, an all
ladies 5-piece indie-rock band out of Minneapolis.
That’s the 5th Annual
Mississippi River Festival on Saturday, July 18th.
Tickets are $15 for members of KAXE and students 19 and
under, or $25 for the general public, 12 year olds and
