The following Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund-related contract producer positions are now open at Northern Community Radio. If you are interested, please review the compensation and submit 1) a resume and 2) an outline of how you would carry out the project. Apply by Friday, August 11, 2017.

Call of the Wild Producer: produce 37 pre-recorded radio episodes in the mini-documentary style between August 2017 and June 30, 2018, 6-8 minutes in length, about the creative economy of Minnesota, especially northern MN. Creative economy includes artists, builders, crafters, writers, musicians, those making a living through cultural activities, and other creative ways of making a living in MN. Each piece must include a photograph for online use. The producer must also collect and provide demographic data about subjects for reporting and evaluation. The producer will be paid by the piece, up to a total $24,050.

Close to Home Producer: produce 24 sound-rich pre-recorded radio episodes annually between August 2017 and June 30, 2019, 6-8 minutes in length, that bring radio listeners closer to regional events, historical sites, places and people. Include photos and additional information for online applications. Track demographic data for evaluation and reporting. The producer will be paid by the piece, up to $10,200 annually.
