1. Northern Community Radio participates in an annual scholarship program through AMPERS. The AMPERS scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded annually to a student who is pursuing an education in broadcasting 2. Northern Community Radio conducted three volunteer training classes during the reporting period. Each class met for three sessions, followed by observation sessions and supervised training. 3. Northern Community Radio served as a placement site for youth participating in State of MN jobs programs. There was one full-time worker placed at KAXE through this reporting period. 4. Northern Community Radio offers a Radio Journalism Class through Itasca Community College every semester. 5. Because there were no full-time openings in the past year, no notice was given to organizations that distribute such information to job seekers. KAXE was not notified by any organizations that request job information.
