Visitor's Day will begin at 3:00 p.m. with tours continuing until 6:30 p.m. and will feature the following activities: Bus Tours to the apple orchard: organics research plots and a beef cattle pasture: and cover crops and Long Term Agricultural Research Network Wagon tours will take visitors through the Horticulture and Forest Management Research areas. Plant and Diagnostics Clinic, "Ask A Master Gardener", Farm Bureau, and more will be featured in the Horticulture Building. Ongoing activities in the Administration Building, including Entomology Research, a bug zoo, Wild Rice lab tours, Agronomy and Forest Genetics research booths, honeybees, U of M Extension, Itasca County Community Garden, University of Minnesota Agriculture School display, and the Boreal Brewers Children's activities in the administration building, and horticulture research warehouse and grounds. New this year: The Minnesota Invasive Terrestrial Plants and Pests Center will have a booth in the Administration Building A Minnesota Corn Growers’ supported over crops trial tour will be held. Minnesota Long-Term Agricultural Research Network (LTARN) tour. Food will be available for purchase from Duke Skorich BBQ.
