Ways to Connect

Today on our weekly local food segment we talked with Marlise Riffel from the Iron Range Sustainability Project.  They are hosting an event Thursday November 17th with Chef Jenna Ballinger on local, vegetarian cooking for Thanksgiving.

IRPS facilitates collaboration towards a sustainable and thriving Iron Range.

The goal of IRPS is to build connections between community, economy, and environment to promote sustainable living in northeastern Minnesota.

We talked with Terrestrial Invasive Species Coordinator for the DNR Laura Van Riper about what buckthorn is and how to control it.  Laura gave us an idea of how to control and get rid of buckthorn if you have it in your yard.
