Become an on-air programmer for On The River: Training is May 15th in Grand Rapids

One of the best ways to make a difference at KAXE/KBXE is to learn to be a music programmer forOn The River. Share your love of music by signing up for the next On the River volunteer training happening Monday, May 15, 6:00-8:30pm.

We’ll give you the tools necessary for creating an awesome music program within the Northern Community Radio format. At the training, you’ll learn more than music programming. You’ll understand the history of Northern Community Radio; the strengths of community radio; and the benefits of a radio station staffed by many volunteers.

As an On The River host, you’llproduce a mix of acoustic and electric, new and old, folk, rock, blues, jazz, and world music to share with KAXE/KBXE’s unique listeners. We’ll help you understand the why behind our formatting to help you think about music in a new way. This is your first step toward volunteering as an on-air host.

Call Brett Carter 218-333-9005 to register, or email bcarter@kaxe.org
