Girls Who Code - Jobs in the Future

Did you know that computing skills are the most sought after in the US job market but the share of women in the computer workforce has declined from 37% in 1995 to 24% today.  If Reshma Saujani and her crew at Girls Who Codehas any say in it, that number will change. 

She started the non-profit Girls Who Code, and now there's a book and new fiction series to spur girls to invent and as she says, change the world. 

Heidi Holtan is KAXE's Director of Content and Public Affairs where she manages producers and is the local host of Morning Edition from NPR. Heidi is a regional correspondent for WDSE/WRPT's Duluth Public Television’s Almanac North.
