KAXE Volunteers - Dave
Peterson

 Dave
became acquainted with the Remer/Boy River
area in 1966 when one of his uncles & family
moved up from the Twin Cities. In 1990
he started building his permenant cabin up
north and listening to KAXE full time.
Dave said, "I still remember my dad &
uncle's listening to Backporch on Friday
evenings and their steady stream of comments
of amazement like "that's Mac Wisemean, I've
never heard anyone play him on the radio!"
Since 1990 Dave says he purchased 90% of his
new music based on what he heard on KAXE.
"KAXE/KBXE is a great place to work!
Pay is low, well ya, it costs you to work,
but I'm honored to be a little part of a
such a great resource to the north country."
Dave and his wife Verna and their 2 dogs
divide their time between the Twin Cities
and their cabin in Remer. |
