KAXE Volunteers - Susan
Lick
|
|
|
|
Susan Lick first became
aware of the concept of independent public
radio while working for the US Forest
Service and living at Cut Foot Sioux in the
Deer River District in the late 70's.
Randomly spinning the dial and hearing some
of the best music she ever lured her into
listening more and getting the idea of
"community radio" for a huge region like the
north woods of Minnesota.
|
|
|
|
Making a home in the north woods with her
family, Susan continued her career in public
education as Director of Community and
Family Education in District 316
Greenway and District 318 - Grand Rapids and
Bigfork Public Schools. Continuing to
grow roots with Northern Community Radio
KAXE led her to become a volunteer
programmer and member of The Board of
Directors at KAXE. |
|
|
|
Along with family, a rural lifestyle, silent
sports, friends, art, travel and many
opportunities for volunteering Susan fills
in the days of a great life.
A sense of graditude is the overall
philosophy Susan runs on supplied by the
natural world we live within. |
