Do you believe in ghosts?  Do you love to be scared?  Brainerd Community Theater is getting into the spirit of Halloween with the chilling production The Woman in Black.  Patrick Spradlin and Kevin Yeager bring the two man production to life this weekend at the Chalberg Theater on the Central Lakes College campus in Brainerd.  In this segment of Area Voices, Spradlin and Yeager share insights on the ghost story.

The Grand Rapids Players present Arsenic and Old Lace - 2 weekends of performances beginning Friday October 13th with Friday/Saturday performances at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2pm.  Tickets are available with the Reif Center.  Director Steve Jaeger joined us on the Monday morning show to tell us more.

Many of us who live in northern MN feel a connection to the land.  Whether our ancestors were always here or they came from other countries, the place where our people were before us has many stories.  Will Weaver is the kind of author that creates stories out of these places.

Ten Thousand Things Theater Company's mission is to bring "lively, intelligent, professional theater to people with little access to the wealth of the arts."   This professional troupe takes shows to prisons, women's shelters, low income senior centers and other unexpected locales.   They weave thespian magic without fancy sets and involved lighting.

The Last Flapper is a one woman play co-produced by Visions Theatre and Long Lake Theater  that retrospects the life of  Zelda Fitzgerald.  Wife of author F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Last Flapper shines a spotlight on Zelda's personal experiences of creative genius, repression and passionate pursuit of life.
