For the second year, the Nemeth Art Center in Park Rapids is collaborating with theMinneapolis College of Art & Design(MCAD) to create a significant opportunity for 15-18 year old students. Between now and April 13th, the Nemeth is accepting art submissions for their upcoming student show. The top sophomore or junior year student in the exhibit will receive a scholarship worth $3,400 that covers all costs associated with the MCAD Pre-College Summer Session. This opportunity allows for a unique campus arts experience for students considering art as a career. In addition to the first place scholarship, cash prizes will be offered to the top three artists in the exhibit.
Thesubmission process is simple. The opening reception for this youth exhibit will take place May 19th from 5-7pm. The movie First Daughter Black Snake will be shown right after the reception.
If you have questions about this opportunity, send Michael Dagen an email.
