Train your ears on the talented musicians played each week during Centerstage Minnesota at 2 and 10 on Fridays. From The Hobo Nephews to Mayda, we hear the wide variety of musical talent from our great state. To hear this fun music from the May 5th show, click here for PRX.

Prince left a musical legacy yet to be fully known. A year after his death, his archived music remains mostly in storage. On the April 21st edition of Centerstage Minnesota, I offer up some great Prince songs and some special features from NPR.  There's lots of other great music, too. Heare the whole show by clicking here for PRX.

Solving the question about new music in Minnesota, I talk to Rob Pieh of Little Riddles this week. The band played Duluth and Bemidji recently, and is set to produce a new single complete with video this summer.

One of the best ways to make a difference at KAXE/KBXE is to learn to be a music programmer for On The River. Share your love of music by signing up for the next On the River volunteer training happening Monday, May 15, 6:00-8:30pm.

I had lots of fun putting together this week's Centerstage Minnesota show. You can hear a cut from the new album by Hippo Campus, and go back in time with Jonathan Rundman's cover of Come Sail Away. Centerstage Minnesota features Minnesota artists in an eclectic mix of folk, rock, blues, jazz, and world music. Tune in every week from 2-4 to hear the awesome talents of local musicians.
