Our monthly conversation about our homes and houses.  Local real estate agent Jesse Davis joins us in the studio along with Vicky Will from Open Season Cleaning.  This month our topic is Cleaning.

The One Vegetable One Community project aims to inspire gardeners of all levels to plant, grow, cook, and come together around one specific vegetable.  The results of these efforts include more people gardening, more people eating healthy foods,  and more people of all socioeconomic levels who have regular access to good food.  This year's feature vegetable for Itasca County is carrots! Jesse Davis from the Grand Rapids Farmers' Market and Carmen Griggs, Itasca County SNAP Coordinator, stopped by the studio to talk about the initiative and of course about carrots!

On the 2nd Friday of the month real estate agent Jesse Davis leads conversations with us about home improvements and topics that are integral to our homes.  This month, paint.

The 2nd Friday of the month is "On the House" a new program with Jesse Davis to look at issues surrounding our homes - whether it's energy sources, buying or selling, or this week tips on staging a  home.

Warren Alto and Jesse Davis own Trout Lake Garlic, a 4th generation farm in Trout Lake Township, near Grand Rapids. Late fall is planting season for garlic, which sends down roots and then waits until spring to send green shoots through the mulch. Garlic isn't mulched to keep it warm, but to moderate the temperature so the cloves won't succumb to constant freezing and thawing over the winter.
