There are probably few places on the planet where the name "rutabaga" really resonates, but according to Rutabaga Project volunteer Marlise Riffel, Minnesota's Iron Range is one of them.

Every Tuesday we hear from students and listeners as they send in their weekly Phenology observations.  This week, observations include rising temperatures, lots of snow to shovel, wolves and pussy willows popping!  

Nevada Littlewolf joined us this morning to talk about her experiences on the Virginia City Council and her new position as CEO/President of Tiwahe Foundation.  She shares her story here - her mentors and her hopes for hte future.

The Virginia Public Library holds their 2nd annual "Queen City Reads" this week.  Events are Tuesday February 26th at noon, and the author will be at the library on Thursday March 1st at noon. 

The chosen book is written by MN mystery writer Allen Eskens.  It is  "The Deep Dark Descending".
